Sylke von Gaza's work thus far can be divided into different strands. Her principal body of work consists of Early Works, individual works, themed groups of works, site-specific works and the major series of Veil Paintings, among them the Grey Veil Paintings and Red Veil Paintings. Her works were shown or can still be seen, among others, in Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Lenbachhaus München, Museo Diocesano di Venezia, Museo Riso Palermo, Art Cologne, Galerie Hans Strelow Düsseldorf, Galerie Biedermann München, Rich Gallery London, Villa von Schulthess-Bodmer Zürich, Palazzo Contarini Polignac Venezia, Capella Gussoni of Chiesa San Lio Venezia, Basilica Santa Maria della Salute Venezia and Gedächtniskirche Berlin.
